Our initial demonstration plant was constructed in Denver. There, the company Red Lion Bio-Energy tested it after construction. Originally, Wiley Consulting, LLC served as the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) contractor for Thermo Conversions, LLC. After producing commercial quality synthesis gas in Denver, Colorado, we dismantled and moved to the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. We consequently reassembled the plant. It thus produced syngas, burned in a retro-fit coal stoker boiler. Today, it produces steam for the University hospital. The plant is being used as a research facility producing high-quality syngas for liquid fuel production. Additionally, it uses a variety of biomass feedstocks.
